About Us

Founded in December of 2004, The Vegetarian way is dedicated to the support and education of vegetarians and all who wish to follow a healthy and  compassionate lifestyle. Contact and orgaization information are listed below.

ANNUAL EVENTS

The Vegetarian Way hosts 6 annual events. 

They are held on the 2nd Saturday of February, April, June, August, October and December.

Location of the events is varied.  Three are Potluck and 3 are a local Restaurants. Every August we hold a Potluck BBQ at a farm or park.

Educational Speakers are present for each event.  They cover a broad range of topics:
Nutrition, Cooking & Recipes, Organic Farming, Health Benefits,
Raising Vegetarian Children, Yoga, Exercise, Acupuncture, Herbalists, Holistic Medicine and more.

Members Taste & Rate Vegetarian & Vegan products at every event.

 

MEMBERSHIP

 

There are several catagories of membership.  A Member's annual dues help to fund speakers, programs and disbursement of information on Vegetarianism and The Vegetarian Way. 
 
 Members have access to great recipes from the organization’s cookbook
(A compilation of members’ recipes from our potluck dinners)

Membership Benefits Include: Discounted Admission to Annual Events, 10% Discount at Ground Round Restaurants in Wilkes-Barre & Hazleton (If paid by the 1st event of the new year, a VW Members Cookbook CD)

Membership is open to all ages.  Our members range from familis with young children, to teens & college students, to adults and senior citizens.
